Welcome to Shauns Page

Hi Ya, I'm Shaun Farris.

Hopefully you will find something here that is of some interest to you

I have tried to keep things simple, but have included a guestbook on my Contact page which I would be gratefull if everyone would sign when passing through. I have also put a feedback form just in case there is something here you like the look of............or not and would like to tell me about it or even offer some advice on information youd like to see.

Please enjoy your browse around my page.

I live in a place called Shaftesbury, steeped in history and tradition, offering visitors breathtaking views and the warmest of welcomes. Shaftesbury is the ‘Shaston’ of Thomas Hardy’s novels, Shaftesbury is also one of the oldest and highest towns in England and dominates what Hardy called the ‘engirdled and secluded’ Blackmore Vale.

The beauty of the surrounding Dorset countryside is complemented by the collection of fine, historical buildings that make up the centre of Shaftesbury itself.

Gold Hill, made famous by the Hovis Bread advertisement, with its steep cobbles and picturesque cottages is the epitome of rural charm from a previous time.

I'm also a keen Chilli eater, and like to refine the recipe found on this site. Please give it a try and let me know what you think.

I also am totally mad about football, live, eat and sleep it. I support Manchester United, and have done since I was old enough to say Man Yoo. I got involved due to my Uncle Gra, who is also a United fan, as are most of my family, unfortunately I have failed in convincing my nephew Jamie to follow them, he seems to have this thing about 'Live*****' sorry can't even bring myself to type it (but I am still working on him),although fortunately just now Cricket is more his main passion, so that dreaded 'L' word doesn't get mentioned too often anymore. I even did my English Literature Oral examination way back in the good ole days on the Munich Air Disaster, and really got hooked on the history of the club. Convincing my wife Sherry to support Manchester United was easy, all I had to do was insist on listening to them on the radio and watching them on television regardless of where we were and what she was watching or listening to, meant that she soon got to asking questions, and then read a Biography or two and she was hooked.

Well that's me, I hope you enjoy my site.
